El 7 de abril de 2022 se inaugurará en el lago de la Ciudad de Las Ciencias de Valencia la exposición al aire libre de 15 grandes esculturas de bronce del famoso escultor polaco Igor Mitoraj (1944-2014).

 

  MIAU FANzARA. Visitamos el Museo Inacabado de Arte Urbano (MIAU) de Fanzara, una pequeña localidad de la provincia de Castellón (España). Los vecinos conviven con verdaderas obras de arte que se renuevan de tiempo en tiempo. Los gatos disfrutan de vivir dentro de su museo. Música: Pinnacle Studio.

Brihuega enamora. Campos de lavanda

Brihuega (Guadalajara) y sus campos de Lavanda a punto para la recolección. La pandemia de Covid-19 ha impedido celebrar los festivales, pero la naturaleza acude puntual a su cita anual, y pasear entre las flores de lavanda es un placer a descubrir y disfrutar.

En solemne acto para celebrar los 60 años de vida de la mayoría de los licenciados en Medicina y Cirugía de la Promoción 1976-82 en Valencia, (España) cantamos con emoción este reconocido himno universitario, con el apoyo incondicional de nuestras admiradas sopranos Dra. Elena González y Dra. Annette Querchfeld. El resultado, pese a ser un debut coral generalizado, nos sorprendió, y un año después de aquel 6/07/2019, lo subimos a Vimeo para compartirlo con nuestras familias y amigos. 

In solemn act to celebrate the 60 years of life of the majority of graduates in Medicine and Surgery of the Promotion 1976-82 in Valencia, (Spain) we sang with emotion this renowned university anthem, with the unconditional support of our admired sopranos Dra. Elena González and Dra. Annette Querchfeld. The result, despite being a widespread choral debut, surprised us, and a year after that 7/6/2019, we uploaded it to Vimeo to share it with our families and friends.

Beopjusa Temple - Korea

In the natural environment of the Sognisan National Park, we discovered the Beojupsa temple. Highlights the impressive largest Buddha in Korea (33 meters high): The Maitreya Buddha, 176 tons of copper covered in gold leaf (year 1990), framed between various temples that surround Palsangjeon one of the two oldest wooden pagodas from Korea, since 553, rebuilt in 1626, in which the 8 scenes from the life of the Buddha Sakyamuni, and the Bell pavilion are admired.

En el ámbito natural del Sognisan National Park, descubrimos el templo Beojupsa. Destaca el impresionante Buda más grande de Korea (33 metros de altura): El Buda Maitreya, 176 toneladas de cobre recubiertas de pan de oro (año 1990), enmarcado entre diversos templos que rodean el Palsangjeon una de las dos pagodas de madera mas antiguas de Corea, desde 553, reconstruida en 1626, en la que se admiran las 8 escenas del la vida del Buda Sakyamuni, y el pabellón Bell.

Sognisan National Park의 자연 환경에서 우리는 Beojupsa 사원을 발견했습니다. 한국에서 가장 큰 부처 (33 미터 높이)를 강조합니다. 금박으로 덮인 176 톤의 구리 인 마이트레야 부처 (1990 년)는 가장 오래된 목조 탑 중 하나 인 플라 상전을 둘러싸고있는 다양한 사원들 사이에 있습니다. 553 년 이래 한국에서는 1626 년에 재건되어 부처 석가모니의 삶의 8 가지 장면과 종 파빌리온이 존경받습니다.

Korean Folk Village 2017

We arrived at the Korean Folk Village in Yongin in the Gyeonggi province in South Korea. Suddenly, we go back to childhood. On a day of school excursion, all the classmates together on the bus with the teacher, the backpack and the canteen (now the bottle of still water). After a night of illusion, we explode in laughter and games in an unforgettable day with friends and precocious girlfriends. The park built in 1974 includes houses from the Jeseon dynasty (1392-1910), recreations of the different workings in the field and performance areas in which we applauded the white horsemen excitedly.

Llegamos al Korean Folk Village en Yongin en la provincia de Gyeonggi, en Corea del Sur. De repente, regresamos a la infancia. A un dia de excursión escolar, todos los compañeros juntos en el autobús con la profesora, la mochila y la catimplora (ahora la botellita de agua sin gas). Tras una noche de ilusión, explotamos en risas y juegos en un día inolvidable junto a los amigos y las precoces novias. El parque construido en 1974 recoge casas de la dinastia Jeseon (1392-1910), recreaciones de las distintas labores del campo y zonas de actuaciones en las que aplaudimos emocionados a los jinetes blancos.

한국 경기도 용인에있는 한국 민속촌에 도착했습니다. 갑자기 우리는 어린 시절로 돌아갑니다. 학교 여행의 날, 모든 반 친구들과 함께 버스에서 교사, 배낭 및 매점 (현재 물병)과 함께 버스에 있습니다. 환상의 밤 후에, 우리는 잊을 수없는 날에 친구와 조숙 한 여자 친구와 함께 웃음과 게임에서 폭발합니다. 1974 년에 지어진이 공원에는 Jeseon 왕조 (1392-1910)의 주택, 현장에서의 다양한 작업의 재현 및 우리가 백인 기병을 기쁘게 박힌 공연 지역이 포함됩니다.

Lake Louise - Banff- Alberta - Canadá

It is summer and we are in Banff National Park, in Alberta, in the Rocky Mountains of Canada. We lack words to describe the sensations produced by Lake Louise, with its clean turquoise blue waters of glacial origin. It is a dream lake that we discover exists in reality.
Es verano y estamos en el Parque Nacional de Banff, en Alberta, en las Montañas Rocosas de Canadá. Nos faltan palabras para describir las sensaciones que nos produce el Lago Louise, con sus aguas limpias azul turquesa de origen glaciar. Es un lago soñado que descubrimos existe en realidad.

Calgary - Alberta (Canadá)

We visited Calgary at the end of July 2019. The city, with more than one million inhabitants, is quiet. There are no rodeos (Calgary Stampede) and both Calgary Tower elevators (191 m.) are under repair.
After passing by Famous Five Statue and the Theater Restaurant, we arrive at the Olympic Plaza, in front of the Town Hall (which is being rehabilitated).
The walk through Prince's Island Park, bordering the Bow River, and crossing the Peace Bridge of Santiago Calatrava (131 m.) white and red, the colors of the flag of Canada, intended for pedestrians and cyclists.
Leaving Calgary, we stop at the Canada Olympic Park, with its recreational facilities and the Olympic Ski Jumper Tower (90 m.).

Visitamos Calgary a finales de julio de 2019. La ciudad, de más de un millón de habitantes, es tranquila. No hay rodeos (Calgary Stampede) y los dos ascensores de la Torre de Calgary (191 m.) están en reparación.
Tras pasar junto a Famous Five Statue y el Restaurante Teatro, llegamos al Olympic Plaza, frente al Ayuntamiento (que está en rehabilitación).
Es muy agradable el paseo por Prince's Island Park, bordeando el rio Bow, y atravesando el Peace Bridge de Santiago Calatrava (131 m.) blanco y rojo, los colores de la bandera de Canadá, destinado a peatones y ciclistas.
Saliendo de Calgary, paramos en el Canada Olympic Park, con sus instalaciones de recreo y el Olympic Ski Jumper Tower (90 m.).

Desfile tras la Batalla de Almansa

Cada año cientos de amantes de la Historia de varios países europeos recrean la Batalla de Almansa que tuvo lugar el 25 de abril de 1707 entre las tropas del Archiduque Carlos y las de Felipe V.
Este año 2019 se celebrará entre el 26 y el 28 de abril.
Sirva este video como homenaje a la ilusión de estas personas que no reparan en esfuerzos por revivir la historia con el máximo rigor en la indumentaria y las armas de la época.

The Turkish filmmaker Banu Sivaci has ravaged the awards ceremony at the 33rd Mostra del Cinema del Mediterrani, held on the 26th October 2018 in Valencia. He has won 5 awards: Best male lead (Kemal Burak Alper), Best Cinematography (Creme Yildrain), Best Soundtrack (Canget Özge Ca), Better Script and Direction (Banu Sivaci) and Best Film: "The Pigeon". Congratulations to Banu and all his team!

La cineasta turca Banu Sivaci ha arrasado en la entrega de premios en la 33ª Mostra del Cinema del Mediterrani, realizada el 26 de octubre de 2018 en Valencia. Ha conseguido 5 premios: Mejor protagonista masculino (Kemal Burak Alper), mejor fotografía (Creme Yildrain), Mejor Banda Sonora (Canget Özge Ca), Mejor Guión y Dirección (Banu Sivaci) y Mejor Película: "The Pigeon". ¡Enhorabuena a Banu y a todo su equipo!!!.

Yes. The wall still exists in the West of Belfast. It measures about 20 km. and in some places it is up to 7 meters high. Every night and on weekends, the gates that separate on one side Catholics on Falls Road and on the other Protestants on Shankill Road.
It's Sunday afternoon, the streets are deserted with hardly any cars parked or circulating. We are on Falls Road, and after passing in front of the Sinn Fein headquarters with a mural in which we remember Bobby Sands, the 27-year-old parliamentarian who died after 66 days on hunger strike, we visited murals of the Catholic quarter, the "Garden of Remenbrance", and the International Mural.
We can not access the Protestant sector: the doors are closed and to go to Shankill Road we should take a long detour, and return at night along undesirable streets. Currently, the Protestant area is degraded and its inhabitants feel abandoned by London. Peeking through a hole in a large metal door we see in the "no man's area" a mural of the "Imagine" by John Lennon: "Give Peace a chance".
From the "troubles" of 1969 to the Good Friday agreement of 1998, more than 3,500 people died on both sides. In these peripheral neighborhoods persists the feeling of hatred and distrust of the neighbor on the other side. They feel more secure separated by the wall and do not want it to disappear. The scars have not completely closed.
Fortunately, outside this area, the Irish of the North, although still divided between unionists (favorable to the United Kingdom) and Irish nationalists, there is a country of young people with a common interest in progressing in peace and breathing confidence and confidence.

Sí. Continúa existiendo el muro en la zona Oeste de Belfast. Mide unos 20 km. y en algunos lugares tiene hasta 7 metros de alto. Cada noche y los fines de semana, se cierran los portones que separan
de un lado los católicos de Falls Road y del otro los protestantes de Shankill Road.
Es domingo por la tarde, las calles están desiertas sin apenas coches aparcados ni circulando. Estamos en Falls Road, y tras pasar por delante de la sede del Sinn Fein con un mural en el que se recuerda a Bobby Sands, el parlamentario de 27 años que murió tras 66 días en huelga de hambre, visitamos los murales del barrio católico, el "Garden of Remenbrance", y el Mural Internacional.
No podemos acceder al sector protestante: están las puertas cerradas y para ir a Shankill Road deberíamos dar un largo rodeo, y regresar de noche por calles poco recomendables. Actualmente, la zona protestante está degradada y sus habitantes se sienten abandonados por Londres. Asomándonos por un agujero de una gran puerta metálica contemplamos en la "zona de nadie" un mural del "Imagine" de John Lennon: "Dar una oportunidad a la Paz".
Desde los "troubles" de 1969 hasta el acuerdo de Viernes Santo de 1998, murieron más de 3500 personas de ambos bandos. En estos barrios periféricos persiste el sentimiento de odio y desconfianza ante el vecino del otro lado. Se sienten más seguros separados por el muro y no desean que éste desaparezca. Las cicatrices no se han cerrado completamente.
Afortunadamente, fuera de esta zona, los irlandeses del norte, aunque siguen divididos entre unionistas (favorables al Reino Unido) y nacionalistas irlandeses, se observa un país de gente joven con un interés común en progresar en paz y se respira seguridad y confianza.

Costa Norte de Irlanda del Norte

 In Northern Ireland (Ulster), after visiting the famous Giant's Causeway, our bus driver returned us to Belfast along the coast, and we were pleasantly surprised singing while driving this traditional Irish song. We toured beaches of cold waters and small fishing villages of quiet and friendly people. 
 En Irlanda del Norte, tras visitar la célebre Calzada de los Gigantes ( Giant´s Causeway) nuestro conductor de autobús nos regresó a Belfast bordeando la Costa, y nos sorprendió gratamente cantando mientras conducía esta tradicional canción irlandesa. Recorrimos playas de frías aguas y pequeños pueblos marineros de gente tranquila y amable.
