Yosemite National Park (CA)

It is impressive to arrive at the Yosemite Valley (World Heritage Site by UNESCO since 1984) after passing the Wawona Tunnel, and looking at the panorama from the Tunnel View viewpoint. On the left you will see El Gran Capitan (the largest granite rock in the world), in the background the imposing Half Dome (also known as Granite) and on the right is the Bridalveil waterfall. We discovered little animals, and fortunately we have not encountered a lynx or a bear. The waterfalls and waterfalls are quite dry (due to global warming) and the Mariposa Grove sequoias do not let us down. They are immense. This park requires a few days to explore its trails, lush forests, cliffs and lakes, but the bus demand us ...

Es impresionante la llegada al Valle de Yosemite (Patrimonio Mundial de la Humanidad por la UNESCO desde 1984) tras pasar el Wawona Tunnel, y contemplando el panorama desde el mirador Tunnel View. Observamos a la izquierda El Gran Capitán (la roca de granito mas grande del mundo), al fondo el imponente Half Dome (media Catedral) tambien de granito y a la derecha está la cascada de Bridalveil. Descubrimos pequeños animalitos, y por fortuna no nos hemos topado con ningún lince ni ningún oso. Las cataratas y cascadas están bastante secas (por el calentamiento global) y las sequoyas de Mariposa Grove no nos defraudan. Son inmensas. Este parque requiere unos días para explorar sus senderos, frondosos bosques, riscos y lagos, pero el autobús nos reclama...

Mammoth Lakes (CA)

We left the hotel in Mammoth Lakes, where by the way they offer you one of the most expensive Cesar Salads in the world (they charge the whole chicken !!!) We only enjoyed the views because the gondola closes early in the afternoon (we are in July Of 2014 with the radiant sun at all gas). We go to Sierra Nevada, where after crossing the Tunnel View we enter Yosemite National Park. Nature is kind and simple. The water flows between the mountains: Merced River, Tanaya Lake ... The waterfalls must be under minimum or our bus passes olympically from them. The Yosemite sequoias await us!!!.

Salimos del hotel en Mammoth Lakes, donde por cierto te ofrecen una de las Ensaladas Cesar más caras del mundo (¡te cobran el pollo a parte!!!) Sólo disfrutamos de las vistas porque el telecabina cierra pronto por la tarde (estamos en julio de 2014 con el radiante sol a todo gas). Nos vamos a Sierra Nevada, donde tras atravesar el Tunnel View entramos en el Parque Nacional de Yosemite. La naturaleza se muestra amable y sencilla. El agua discurre entre las montañas: el río Merced, el lago Tanaya... Las cascadas deben estar bajo mínimos o nuestro autobús pasa olímpicamente de ellas. Nos esperan las sequoyas de Yosemite.

Los Angeles 4 Sta Monica Street Shows

In the Santa Monica Pier Route 66 ends, and the fun just begins there. You live music on the street at all hours. We appreciate the collaboration of all street artists who have made this video, recorded in August 2014.

Los Angeles - 1 Centro. Iniciamos nuestro viaje por la Costa Oeste de Estados Unidos en el Aeropuerto de los Angeles (LAX) y por la autopista admiramos el skyline. Es la segunda ciudad más poblada de este país, una cuadrícula inmensa, que en esta tarde de agosto de 2014 aparece casi desierta. Es inconfundible el edificio del ayuntamiento de L.A. rodeado del Grand Park. La moderna Catedral de Nuestra Señora de Los Angeles, obra del arquitecto español Rafael Moneo (1996-2002) y el impactante Sala de Conciertos de Walt Disney, obra de Frank O. Gehry (2003) sede de la Filarmónica de L.A., que refleja el brillante cielo del sur de California. Impresionan los rascacielos del sector financiero con La Biblioteca Pública y el lujoso Hotel Millenium Biltmore. Es una ciudad multicultural, viva, paseable a pié por el centro. Nos quedamos un poco más en Los Angeles.

Los Angeles - 1 Downtown. We begin our journey through the West Coast of the United States at Los Angeles Airport (LAX) and highway we admire the skyline. It is the second most populous city in this country, a huge grid, which this afternoon in August 2014 appears almost deserted.
